Cardiology

Shamanthi graduated from Cambridge University in 2016. After enjoying 3 years of general practice on the North Yorkshire coast, she went on to complete a busy rotating internship at the University of Liverpool. Having developed an interest in Cardiology during this time, this was then followed by a Cardiology internship at a multidisciplinary hospital in the South-East.

Shamanthi started a residency in Cardiology at the University of Bristol in 2022, completing her specialist training in the summer of 2025 after which she joined the Willows Cardiology team. While she enjoys all aspects of Cardiology, Shamanthi is particularly interested in complex cases requiring multidisciplinary input, as well as minimally invasive cardiac procedures.

In her spare time, Shamanthi enjoys training and competing her working Labradors, and unsuccessfully trying to avoid rain on the Munros.
