It’s clear as day for Lulu!
3 May 2019
Lulu was just a puppy when she came to see our Ophthalmology team at Willows for assessment of a visibly ‘cloudy’ left eye.
A full ophthalmic examination revealed that Lulu had developed a cataract in her left eye. This had developed when a blood vessel that nourishes the eye’s lens did not regress/phase out before birth, leading to the development of the cataract.
Following the ultrasound diagnosis Lulu underwent surgery to remove the cataract (phacoemulsification). Since her treatment six months ago Lulu has had a really positive recovery at home where she can now be found out and about enjoying spring time picnics in the country side!
