Lots of fun was had in the Park!
31 October 2018
For the second year running Willows were delighted to be invited back to join the 13th annual Fun in the Park event in Tudor Grange Park.
The event was held in September and was organised by Soroptimist International (Solihull and District) Volunteers and supported by members of St. Alphege Rotary Club. Willows were very happy to sponsor the event again this year, as it is a fantastic family friendly event with three local charities benefiting from the monies raised.
Although the weather was somewhat to be desired in the run up to the event, this didn’t put off our amazing team who thoroughly enjoyed meeting some familiar faces, as well as lots of lovely new supporters.
Our Anaesthesia Specialist Alessandra Mathis assisted by Veterinary Nurses Claire Baber, Debbie Lynch, Charlotte Harris, Lucy Pauley and Jodi Spencer held some practical canine CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) sessions which were both educational and fun. The sound of the ‘Baby Shark’ song certainly got people interested in the CPR sessions as this provides the perfect beat to perform CPR. With a big thanks to Solihull Radio you can hear a little more about the CPR sessions here.
