Willows Specialists lead orthopaedic education

21 October 2018

Willows orthopaedics Specialists Toby Gemmill and Steve Clarke chaired the recent AOVET course covering Advanced Techniques in Small Animal Fracture Management. The Advanced course, which was run alongside a Principles course, was held in Oxford from 14-16th October 2018, catering for 26 delegates which included vets from around the world. As always, the AOVET course was divided into lectures, discussion sessions and practical classes.

After the course Toby said, ‘I was delighted with how well the course ran. At AOVET we have spent a lot of time in recent years developing a new postgraduate curriculum, and it was great to see delegates completing the Advanced course. We are hopeful the knowledge learned on the course will allow vets to change their clinical practice for the better and ultimately improve the outcome of trauma patients.’

Further AOVET courses are planned in the UK in 2019 and 2020.
