Dogs and cats are living longer but old age comes to us all. Geriatric patients are commonly seen in first opinion practice and with advances in both the diagnosis and therapeutics for geriatric conditions, client expectations of how we nurse and treat their pets are increasing. This day CPD will cover nursing a number of different commonly presented conditions such as congestive heart failure, feline hyperthyroidism, hypertension and vestibular disease. Specific topics such as anaesthetising geriatrics and running geriatric clinics will also be discussed. Disciplines covered will include anaesthesia, orthopaedics, cardiology, neurology and internal medicine.
Day CPD Meetings Schedule
The day will begin with Registration and coffee between 9.00 and 9.30am and the meeting will close at 5.00pm.
Lunch will be provided and, for those who are interested, there will be an opportunity to have a tour of the hospital at lunchtime.
Certificates of Attendance will be issued at the end of the meeting for your CPD records which can be downloaded from your account.
A receipted invoice will be available to download.
