International Homeless Animals Day - 16 August 2015
14 August 2015
Originally began in America in 1992, but is now celebrated in over 50 countries on all six populated continents. The aim is to raise awareness of homeless and abandoned pets, feral animals and to educate people about the importance of neutering domestic animals.
Animal protection organisations from around the world come together on the third Saturday of August each year to raise awareness about the pet overpopulation epidemic.
To celebrate International Homeless Animals Day tomorrow, we would love to see your photos of your rescued pets that have been given a forever home - just post your photos on Willows Facebook page.
