Is Your Pet Insured?
2 December 2015
We all hope that our pet will only ever need to visit the vet for their vaccinations and preventative healthcare. Unfortunately they can suffer from illnesses and sometimes be involved in accidents that require urgent attention. This can be a very distressing time for pet owners and sadly financial implications often add to their worries.
Veterinary medicine has advanced greatly over the years and often equals or even surpasses what is available in the human field. State-of-the-art facilities, ground-breaking therapies and specialist personnel do not, however, come cheaply and pet insurance is becoming an essential cost to budget for.
Gay Robertson has been investigating the referral practice and the inevitable question – ‘Is your pet insured?’ Gay has written a very informative article for the Kennel Club Gazette which looks at the questions often asked regarding insurance policies and what they can mean when your pet needs to visit a specialist referral practice like Willows.
