Double Award Win for Willows at BSAVA Congress 2016!
29 April 2016
During April each year Birmingham city centre is a buzzing hive of activity as it becomes home to BSAVA Congress, one of the largest veterinary meetings in the world. The ICC and Barclaycard Arena host a cutting edge programme of lectures, some of which were presented by our own Willows Specialists. The lecture programme runs over 4 days alongside an exhibition, which sees over 250 companies exhibiting to thousands of veterinary professionals.
Willows were delighted to be exhibiting at congress again this year, giving delegates the opportunity to come and meet our team of Specialists, nurses and support staff, and learn about our services and facilities. In addition to this, delegates could take part in a laparoscopy training game, using instruments similar to those used at Willows for performing keyhole surgery, with a fantastic prize of a luxury 5* holiday.
As part of Willows commitment to BSAVA Congress, delegates were given a token when they visited our stand to enable them to vote for one of our three chosen charities; PetSavers, Love Underdogs and Cats Protection. The proportion of votes received for each charity will determine the share of £5000 that will soon be donated by Willows.
Congress was a great success for Willows this year with double award celebrations! Mike Martin MVB DVC MRCVS, RCVS Specialist in Veterinary Cardiology was awarded the JSAP Achievement Award 2016 for outstanding contributions to the Journal of Small Animal Practice. Willows were thrilled to be awarded with best ‘Space Only’ Stand Award for 2016; the stand was selected for its appearance, interactive nature and the information given to delegates.
