Veterinary Nursing Awareness Month
Lisa Hardman

28 May 2015

Lisa Hardman, student veterinary nurse

Lisa Hardman
Student Veterinary Nurse

Throughout May, Willows have been celebrating their outstanding veterinary nurses, and our next feature highlights the role of Lisa Hardman, who is one of our student veterinary nurses.

Before joining Willows, Lisa worked at a boarding kennels for 4 years and her love of animals made it impossible for her to resist adopting a Rottweiler called Roxy, who now has a very loving home with Lisa.

After joining Willows as an animal care assistant, Lisa earned the role of student veterinary nurse 9 months later. She is now 7 months into her training on the level 3 Veterinary Nursing Diploma (regulated by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons). In addition to working at Willows, Lisa attends Solihull College once a week.

There are many routes into studying veterinary nursing. If you are interested in becoming a veterinary nurse, please visit www.rcvs.org.uk/education/i-want-to-be-a-veterinary-nurse

Lisa says "I enjoy working with an outstanding team of veterinary surgeons and nurses and learning from highly skilled and dedicated team members."
