Small Animal Internship - July 2018
Applications are invited for an individual to enter our structured one year Internship programme in July 2018. We have a team of eight Interns in total.
Willows is one of the leading multi-disciplinary specialist referral practices in the UK and our Interns enter a training programme during which they assist in the throughput of our orthopaedic, spinal, ophthalmic, neurological, medical, oncological, cardiology, dermatology and soft tissue patients, as well as helping with their ongoing management and care. There are also structured rotations in our anaesthesia and imaging departments. Responsibilities include assisting the on-duty nursing staff with out-of-hours night and weekend duties, incorporating the provision of an emergency service for primary clinic patients.
Applicants should be hard working, eager to learn and have excellent communication skills – a very good command of spoken and written English is essential. Candidates should have had at least two years’ post-graduation experience of working in small animal practice, preferably in the UK, and be keen to fit into a friendly work environment which is dedicated to the provision of the highest level of care for our patients and our clients, whether they be pet owners or referring veterinary surgeons.
We offer a competitive salary and the package also includes in-house training, a company pension scheme and access to an Employee Assistance Programme. Willows has a strong ethos of looking after staff members, and staff members looking after one another. We hold the Investors in People award at the extended Silver level.
Interviews will be held on Tuesday 3rd April 2018
