Be part of one of the UKs leading small animal referral centres!
Applications are invited for Willows’ World leading one year structured Internship programme, commencing Monday 6th July 2020. We currently have a team of ten rotating Interns.
Joining one of the UKs largest and most established referral centres you will be working alongside our World leading multi-disciplinary team across a detailed training programme assisting in the throughput of Orthopaedic, Spinal, Ophthalmic, Neurological, Medical, Oncological, Cardiology, Dermatology and Soft Tissue patients, as well as helping with their ongoing management and care. There are also structured rotations within the Emergency and Critical Care, Anaesthesia, and Diagnostic Imaging departments. Intern responsibilities include assisting the on-duty Nursing staff with out-of-hours night and weekend duties, incorporating the provision of an emergency service for primary clinic patients.
Applicants should be highly motivated and have excellent communication skills – a very good command of spoken and written English is essential. Candidates should have had at least two years’ post-graduate experience of working in small animal practice, preferably in the UK, and be keen to join a friendly team environment which is dedicated to the provision of the highest level of care for our patients, clients and referring Veterinary Surgeons.
Willows is extremely proud to have a strong track record of Interns going on to undertake Specialist training in different disciplines. To this end, Interns are mentored and supported in undertaking clinical research, presentations and publications.
