A unique opportunity has become available for a highly motivated individual to join our Diagnostic Imaging team in our Specialist multi-disciplinary referral centre, ideally commencing January 2020. The successful applicant will either hold or be eligible for an RCVS, American or European Diploma (or equivalent) and share our aim of providing excellent levels of care for our patients, clients and referring Veterinary Surgeons.
The Imaging team, comprising of six Specialist Diagnostic Imagers, one Resident, a highly experienced Radiographer and four Imaging Nurses, provides exceptional imaging support for our multi-disciplinary Specialists across Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery, Neurology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Orthopaedics and ECC.
Willows has approximately 180 personnel, including almost 60 Veterinary Surgeons. Our philosophy is very much one of friendly co-operation between all members of staff, creating a supportive and good-humoured atmosphere.
Willows’ imaging facilities comprise of:
- GE 1.5T MRI
- Seimens 64 slice Somatom CT
- Logiq S8 ultrasound
- Two digital X-ray rooms
- Two in-theatre image intensifiers (GE Fluorostar and Philips BV Pulsera).
Images are reviewed and reported in the spacious diagnostic imaging suite and stored on Fuji PACS, from which they are available throughout the practice. There is also off-site VPN access to PACS.
The position will be well remunerated and the package includes generous time off for holidays, CPD and involvement in professional committees. Out-of-hours emergency service provision is shared amongst the Imaging team.
