Specialisms

The specialists at Willows are dedicated to providing the best possible outcome for the patients under their care. At Willows, our aim is to offer to each of our patients the same level of care that we would wish to give to our own animals, and this approach applies nowhere more particularly than within our specialist referral service.

We provide specialist care within a range of different disciplines, and the range of specialisms we offer is continually expanding. It is not unusual for us to discover that pets referred for a particular problem in fact have another condition (or conditions) which may require the input of specialists in departments other than the one to which the patient was intially referred. Our consultants within the different specialisms work closely with one another,
and with owners, to ensure that all the clinical needs of our patients are met.

Our specialist veterinary surgeons have national/international reputations and most have written scientific papers, published in text books and regularly speak at local, national and international meetings. As well as offering continuing education to other members of our profession, our vets also regularly attend scientific meetings in order to keep right up to date in their fields of expertise. When required they travel in the USA and Europe to learn new techniques and exchange ideas with other international experts.
