Key-hole soft tissue surgery now available at Willows
9 February 2010
Willows has been performing endoscopic surgery on joints (the orthopaedic key-hole technique known as arthroscopy) for several years, but with the advent of our new soft tissue service, we are delighted to be able to offer small incision, rigid endoscopy techniques for a number of types of surgical procedure on the abdomen (the tummy) and also for some chest conditions. The equipment involved is sophisticated and has required very considerable investment, but the technique has the advantages of allowing smaller incisions, reduced bruising and scarring, increased patient comfort and a more speedy return of the pet to normal activity.
At Willows we continually strive to improve and enhance the quality of care for our patients, and offering rigid endoscopy techniques for soft tissue procedures is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to excellence.
