Pet Drawing Competition Result

Congratulations to all the entrants of our recent children's drawing competition! We were delighted with the number (over 300!) and quality of the entries. Drawings, paintings and collages were all entered. It was heart-warming to see how well loved all these pets are.

Some of the pets were surrounded by their favourite toys, beds and food. Others were bejewelled with stars, flowers and hearts. We were presented with a variety of animals - cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, horses, rabbits and rodents were all entered.

With so many excellent entries, the competition was very close. However, we are delighted to announce that the winners are –

Under 6 Age Category

• FIRST PRIZE: Grace Hyde, aged 4 for Silky the cat
• SECOND PRIZE: Freya Pavely, aged 5 for Muffin the dog
• THIRD PRIZE: Órla Keenan, aged 3 for Patrick the dog

6-10 Age Category

• FIRST PRIZE: Saffron Haughton, aged 8 for Lucas the cat
• SECOND PRIZE: Tom O'Hanlon, aged 9 for a chameleon
• THIRD PRIZE: Megan Potts, aged 8 for Popcorn the horse

11-15 Age Category

• FIRST PRIZE: Emily Whalley, aged 13 for Percy the parrot
• SECOND PRIZE: Amnah Hussain, aged 11 for Misty the cat
• THIRD PRIZE: Molly Furness, aged 11 for Splodge the pig

The winning pictures are to be displayed in the reception area of our new state-of-the-art
veterinary centre.
